Meet the people bringing your production to life
Gothic Zen's crew is like an accordion, we expand and contract as needed. For many projects, we find 2 crew members create good workflow and cost-effectiveness. However, we always have more professionals on speed dial for larger projects with bigger budgets.
Goran
My journey in film began way before I graduated with a Bachelor of Film Production or became a Screenwriting Lecturer. It started in the late 1980s when I was in front of the camera on shows like Paradise Beach and Beastmaster. Despite the fun, I soon discovered that behind the scenes was my true calling.
These days, I’m inspired by the old masters of cinematography, like Tarkovsky, and combine this knowledge with modern approaches. My focus is always on the best way to tell a story, regardless of whether I’m writing a script or penning my psychological realism novels. Holding the reigns as Gothic Zen’s Creative Director continually brings joys and challenges that feed my soul.

My interest in film began as a child when I created shows with the neighbourhood kids. Rarely in front of the camera, I gravitated behind the scenes - and this still rings true today. My professional focus is on filming, editing, writing and producing. Especially producing, as my keen eye for detail is key to bringing productions to life. Projects revolving around health and wellbeing hold a special place in my heart.
